Let us introduce you to Qualitopix, our software for measuring staining consistency.

Pathology labs are facing ten to thirty percent error rates in IHC.

To address this challenge, we developed Qualitopix as a tool to measure staining intensity and ensure staining consistency.

Let’s see how Qualitopix works in this example lab.

LabX does several batches of HER2 stains per day.

To the first batch of the day, LabX adds one extra control slide containing reference material with known marker levels of HER2.

In this case, the reference material is cell lines with different HER2 expression levels.

The control slide is stained alongside the entire batch and then scanned separately and uploaded to Qualitopix for analysis.

Since no patient data is uploaded to Qualitopix for analysis, there are no GDPR concerns.

Additionally, we provide all the necessary computing power for the analysis.

What does the analysis in Qualitopix look like?

After upload, it takes just a few minutes for Qualitopix to analyze the image and plot it into a graph with relative intensity.

In this example, we see reagent degradation over time.

An alert triggers when a threshold is reached, enabling reagent changes only when needed, saving on costs.

Another example shows the detection of a hardware malfunction.

In this case, it was a clogged nozzle on a stainer that was quickly fixed after the team was alerted.

A major benefit of Qualitopix is that once the issue is resolved, all future stains on the stainer are protected from the same error.

Here we see a lab that received a bad antibody batch.

Once a replacement antibody was received and used, the stain returns to acceptable levels.

These are some of the many errors Qualitopix can catch.

We began with markers most vulnerable to stain variation, and you can start with one or two, adding more as you see benefits.
