Our Commitment to Sustainability
At Visiopharm, we are dedicated to creating a sustainable future through our innovative software solutions. Our unique software combines 20 years of knowledge gained by working with pathologists and research scientists with the power of AI. We provide the accuracy and versatility needed to meet the tissue analysis challenges of tomorrow in research and diagnostics, for the development of next-generation therapies or matching therapies with the right patients.
Materiality
Our work with sustainability is based on a materiality-led approach. In this way, we ensure we address the most relevant and pressing impacts of our company, while meeting the needs of our stakeholders. We utilize the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) materiality frameworks to ensure that we are aligned with best practice.
Environmental Responsibility
We are committed to understand and manage our environmental impacts.
As part of our environmental management system, we began calculating our operational greenhouse gas emissions in 2022 and report these figures to our Board and to our shareholders annually as part of our financial reporting. We are proud that our headquarters is powered by 100% sustainable (zero emission) electricity. This underscores our dedication to reducing our environmental impact and promoting renewable energy sources.
To further reduce our environmental impact, we are actively working with our district heating supplier to cut CO2 emissions for our scope 2 emissions. This collaboration is a crucial step in our strategy to minimize our overall carbon footprint and contribute to a cleaner, greener planet.
Our Net Zero Commitment
In alignment with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, we are committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050. This goal reflects our dedication to combating climate change and promoting sustainable development. We are continuously exploring new technologies and practices to enhance our sustainability efforts and achieve this target.
